HOW TO MAKE A MOJITO
Ingredients:
- 50 ml White Rum
- 15 ml Sugar Syrup
- 150 ml Soda Water
- Crushed Ice
- 8-10 Fresh Mint Leaves
- 3-4 Lime Wedges
- Mint sprig, for garnish
1. Muddle Mint, Lime Wedges and Add the Sugar Syrup:
- In a glass, muddle the fresh mint leaves and 2-3 lime wedges. Muddle gently to release the mint's flavour without tearing it too much.
- Add the sugar syrup to the muddled mixture.
2. Add White Rum:
- Pour the white rum into the glass.
3. Add Crushed Ice:
- Top up the glass with the crushed ice, you want use enough to fill the glass just below the rim.
4. Add Soda Water & Stir Well:
- Top up the glass with soda water. Adjust the amount to your desired level, however we would recommend 150 ml for an even mix of flavours.
- Stir the ingredients well, you want to stir upwards to ensure the initial flavours mix well with the soda water.
5. Garnish & Serve:
- Garnish with a remaining lime wedges and a sprig of mint. You can also slap the mint between your hands before placing it on top to release its aroma.
- Your classic Mojito is now ready to be enjoyed! Sip and relish the refreshing combination of mint, lime, and rum.
Cheers!
