Jameson Caskmates Stout Edition Irish Whiskey was invented when Jameson's local craft brewer borrowed their casks to age their fine Irish stout, it sparked an idea for the whiskey maker. They decided to finish their own precious whiskey in the stout beer seasoned oak barrels. The end result was the creation of Jameson Stout Edition, a smooth whiskey with hints of chocolate, butterscotch, and coffee.
Jameson Stout Edition received several accolades in 2019, such as being a finalist in the Ultimate Spirits Challenge scoring a very high 94 points. It also received a gold medal in both the San Francisco World Spirit Competition & International Spirit Challenge.
