Stauning Whisky emerged in 2005 from the humble confines of a small village in West Jutland, Denmark, born from the collective passion of a group of friends dedicated to the art of whisky making. Their shared vision revolved around the creation of a whisky that echoed the essence of their locale, using only locally sourced ingredients to impart a truly unique character to their spirit. To bring this vision to fruition, the founders embarked on an ambitious endeavour, constructing their own floor malting facility and bespoke copper pot stills, ensuring meticulous control over every aspect of production.

At the heart of Stauning Whisky lies a blend of locally harvested barley, rye, and wheat, lovingly floor-malted and infused with the earthy essence of peat sourced from their surroundings. This carefully crafted concoction is then nurtured to maturity in an assortment of casks, including American oak, ex-bourbon, and ex-sherry, each contributing its own distinct nuance to the final product. Today, Stauning Whisky stands as a beacon of innovation and craftsmanship, renowned for its bold and distinctive flavour profile, earning accolades worldwide and solidifying its status as a trailblazer in the world of whisky production.
