Glengoyne Distillery has a rich heritage dating back to its establishment in 1833 as the Burnfoot Distillery, later acquired by the Lang Brothers in 1876. Under their stewardship, the distillery flourished, earning acclaim for its exceptional single malt whisky. Despite facing adversities such as Prohibition, the Great Depression, and two world wars in the early 20th century, Glengoyne persevered, maintaining its commitment to producing high-quality whisky.

In 1966, the Edrington Group acquired Glengoyne, ushering in a new era of modernisation while preserving its traditional distilling techniques. Notably, Glengoyne distinguishes itself by air-drying its malted barley instead of using peat smoke, resulting in a distinctive, light, and fruity flavour profile. Today, nestled near Killearn village, Glengoyne remains a beacon of Scotland's whisky-making heritage, drawing enthusiasts worldwide to its picturesque location. Visitors can immerse themselves in the distillery's history through guided tours, witnessing firsthand the craftsmanship behind Glengoyne's renowned single malt whiskies, including the celebrated 10 year old and 21 year old known for their complexity and balance.
